Amid XRP’s rising momentum, former Goldman Sachs employee Dom Kwok insists that there is a very high chance that XRP will surpass Ethereum “soon.” XRP has continued to see impressive growth since November 2024, rising along with the rest of the market following the U.S. presidential election. XRP has outperformed the broader crypto market as momentum picked up and is currently consolidating after facing resistance at $3.39.

However, after a period of range-bound trading, XRP once again rallied faster than the rest of the market this past weekend, rising 10% on Saturday, January 11, while the broader market lagged. This brought the XRP/ETH trading pair, which tracks the performance of XRP against Ethereum, to a 50-month high of 0.0007885.

“High chances that XRP will surpass Ethereum soon”
After a slight pullback on Sunday, XRP has resumed its upward trend in the new week, with the XRP/ETH trading pair reaching a new high of 0.0008818 early yesterday. Amid this impressive momentum, former Goldman Sachs analyst and EasyA co-founder Dom Kwok issued a bullish statement.

According to Kwok, XRP now has a high chance of surpassing Ethereum and becoming the second-largest crypto asset. He noted that this event could happen "very soon."

“Are you ready for the new world order?” Kwok quipped alongside his bold prediction, suggesting he believes such an event would be a critical turning point. Kwok has been bullish on the XRP ecosystem, recently touting the huge capital from RWA tokenization that could flow into XRPL.

Notably, Kwok’s latest comments on XRP and Ethereum market dynamics come at a time when discussions about XRP’s potential to surpass Ethereum are re-heating. To provide context, XRP has gained a staggering 351% relative to Ethereum since November 2024.
