How much XRP would you need to own to become a millionaire if XRP reaches 500 or 1000

XRP has been one of the few assets that has been able to maintain its position during the recent market correction. While Bitcoin has left the once-altcoin market in the red, XRP has mostly stayed between $0.49 and $0.5 and has shown a positive week.
The performance further bolstered the confidence of those who believe XRP will rise to prominence in the future, perhaps mounting an aggressive rally like it did six years ago and ultimately making them millionaires.
This analysis explores the amount of XRP that investors would need if XRP were to reach its ambitious future price targets of $500 or $1,000.
If XRP hits $500, an investor would have to hold 2,000 tokens to become a millionaire. As of June 21, 2,000 tokens can be purchased for just $977.2. Meanwhile, this initial investment could grow by 102,233% if the bullish forecasts come true.
On the other hand, for investors who expect the XRP price to reach $1,000, the initial investment requirement is lower. Specifically, an investor would need to hold 1,000 XRP, which is worth $488.6 today, and that investment would have to grow by 204,566% when XRP trades at $1,000.
When will XRP reach $500 and $1,000?
In 2023, Citi banker Shannon Thorp predicts XRP could reach $500 in seven months. Although this prediction has not yet come true, an optimistic outlook remains in the community.
In April, analyst BarriC said that XRP’s current value would be considered cheap by 2033, meaning he expects a significant price increase in the years before that. Furthermore, he advocates that XRP will reach $1,000 within a decade. Another anonymous community expert, JackTheRippler, also supported the $1,000 prediction but did not provide a specific timeline.
Meanwhile, forecasting platform Telegaon was more conservative, predicting that XRP is unlikely to reach $500 or $1,000 in the next three decades. Instead, it proposed a forecast of a maximum value of $105 in 2050.
Notably, $1,000 XRP would value the asset at around $100 trillion.
