Robert F. Kennedy Expresses His Commitment to Bitcoin

Robert F. Kennedy has reiterated his full commitment to Bitcoin, mentioning that the majority of his wealth is invested in the groundbreaking cryptocurrency.
In a viral video, the former US presidential candidate revealed that Bitcoin makes up a portion of his wealth. He noted that he is a big supporter of this top asset and decided to put his money into this asset class.
Pro-Bitcoin Kennedy goes all-in
Kennedy revealed that at the 2023 Bitcoin conference, he reconsidered his wealth distribution. He hinted that after that financial experience, he “went home and put most of his wealth” into Bitcoin.
In the disclosure, he pointed out that he is a firm believer in Bitcoin and fully supports it. Interestingly, during his run as an independent candidate for president, he expressed support for this emerging “digital gold” and believed that it could solve one of the United States’ increasingly unstable economic problems.
Meanwhile, Kennedy reiterated his pro-Bitcoin stance in a Nov. 16 tweet. In his X Update, he described Bitcoin as a free currency and a hedge against inflation for ordinary Americans.
Kennedy further stated that Bitcoin is a financial tool that the United States needs to address economic setbacks such as the depreciation of the dollar and the surge in the national debt. Notably, he made these comments while endorsing Howard Lutnick, CEO of Contech Financial, for the position of U.S. Treasury Secretary.
Trump appoints Kennedy as health secretary
Meanwhile, the pro-cryptocurrency former presidential candidate becomes the latest cabinet member to join Donald Trump’s leadership team. Last week, Trump appointed Kennedy as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), having previously nominated Elon Musk.
Kennedy also becomes another pro-cryptocurrency appointee from Trump, who appears committed to embracing Bitcoin and digital assets across the board. Notably, the president-elect has pledged to appoint a pro-cryptocurrency chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) after firing Gary Gensler.
