ShibaCoin’s lead developer Shytoshi Kusama mentioned that there will be upcoming developments following recent collaborations with government agencies.
Kusama made the remarks during a recent X Space event titled “Trust Conversation #4: Will Memecoins Last?”
The conference was hosted by Trust Wallet, a popular self-custodial crypto wallet. In addition to Shiba Inu Coin’s official X account, the event also featured other well-known figures from the crypto space, including the official Floki account. The event attracted 18,700 community members.
During the livestream, the co-host asked Kusama how the leadership of the ShibaCoin ecosystem is working to keep the community engaged and enthusiastic, given the fierce competition in the memecoin space.
How Shiba Inu Coin keeps the spirit alive and burning forever
Kusama responded that SHIB is fundamentally different from other meme projects.
“SHIB is something completely different,” he said.
He explained that within the ShibaCoin community, the focus has been on developing the best technology to effectively empower the network state. He noted that SHIB had asserted its sovereignty a year ago.
Therefore, the current goal is to build all the necessary technology so that the network state can operate. This is about ensuring the survival of the community, not just through one cycle, but for the next 100 years.
“By positioning ourselves as a nation and creating the technology needed for that nation to function, we were able to build a powerful operating system,” he said.
Kusama further explained that this approach enables anyone, anywhere in the world to migrate from Web2 to Web3. Furthermore, he mentioned that this strategy not only laid the foundation for the Shiba Inu Coin community to flourish, but also created something that the world could use widely.
According to Kusama, this makes ShibaCoin stand out in the memecoin space. He stressed that this is not just about hype. It’s worth noting that as long as the community continues to create things with real utility, hype will naturally follow.
More plans are underway
Kusama went on to share that the team is constantly working to produce a variety of useful technologies and hold events centered around TREAT, the newest token in the ShibaCoin ecosystem. The goal is to provide TREAT to the community and provide real value.
Additionally, he revealed that the community can expect some exciting news about the SHIB Metaverse to be released soon. However, he didn't want to reveal too much. However, Kusama mentioned that this upcoming development will shed more light on matters.
“That’s our focus, and that’s enabled us to keep the community highly engaged,” he said.
