Tangem wallet adds support for Cardano native tokens

Top cryptocurrency self-custody provider Tangem has added Cardano to its list of supported networks, allowing users to securely keep Cardano-based assets in their wallets.
The self-custody provider announced the news in a tweet yesterday, highlighting immediate support for Cardano’s native token (CNT).
Tangem urged users to update their applications immediately to secure various Cardano native assets such as Iagon (IAG), SingularityNET (AGIX), Cornucopias (COPI), Snek (SNEK), and World Mobile Token (WMT), among others.
According to Tangem, users can find their favorite Cardano-based tokens in the “Managed Tokens” section of the updated app.
Despite its integration with Cardano, Tangem noted that it has yet to launch support for native staking instruments within the network. However, Tangem plans to integrate equity ticket functionality in the near future.
Cardano Community Reactions
As expected, the development sparked a positive reaction from the Cardano community, with supporters praising Tangem for its support.
Some community members pledged to purchase Tangem wallets to show their gratitude for the integration.
Interestingly, well-known Cardano stake pool operator Stake with Pride revealed that they purchased a set of Tangem cards. The attached screenshot shows that Stake with Pride purchased a set of 3 Tangem Wallet 2.0 packs yesterday.
Tangem supports Manta Network
Cardano isn’t the only network Tangem is newly supporting. The top wallet provider also integrated with the Manta blockchain yesterday.
“We are excited to announce that the Manta Network is now available in Tangem,”
The announcement reads.
Users will also need to update their Tangem applications to send, receive and manage tokens through the Manta network.
Tangem now supports 61 networks
After the integration with Cardano and Manta, this wallet now supports 61 networks. These include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Aleph Azero, Hedera, Kusama, XRP Ledger, Shibarium, and Solana, among others.
As Cointelegraph reported in February, Tangem added support for VeChain and XDC networks. Since its launch in 2021, Tangem has provided secure custody solutions through its card-shaped hardware wallet. It is currently one of the top cryptocurrency self-custody providers and has manufactured over 1 million cards since its inception.
