Huawei Cloud joins Cardano ecosystem to scale Web3 solutions in Asia and Africa

The Cardano ecosystem welcomes Huawei Cloud, one of the world’s largest cloud computing companies, to expand the reach of the Cardano network.
Specifically, Cardano’s blockchain partner EMURGO has formed an alliance with Huawei Cloud to promote Web3 solutions through Cardano. EMURGO revealed its new collaboration with Huawei in an official press statement today, April 11.
The alliance is reportedly aimed at strengthening the adoption of Cardano’s Web3-based solutions in Asia and Africa. In addition, the cooperation also involves providing support for Cardano validator nodes on the Huawei Cloud platform.
Details about the alliance between Cardano and Huawei Cloud
Huawei Cloud is the flagship cloud service brand of technology giant Huawei and is considered one of the most important cloud computing entities in the world.
Under the alliance, EMURGO will set up a Cardano validator node on Huawei Cloud, effectively integrating Huawei’s cloud infrastructure into Cardano’s public blockchain ecosystem.
In addition, the collaboration also enables Cardano developers to leverage Huawei Cloud’s rich computing resources to build Web3 solutions. Additionally, Cardano will enter Huawei’s market, a platform widely used by leading enterprises. Furthermore, this new alliance aims to enhance Cardano’s interoperability and scalability.
The report also emphasized that this milestone marks the beginning of broader cooperation between EMURGO and Huawei. The report noted that this is in line with EMURGO’s goal of expanding the Cardano ecosystem to key regional economies in the Asia-Pacific region and Africa.
Ken Kodama, CEO of EMURGO, expressed his enthusiasm for the alliance with Huawei Cloud, saying:
“This collaboration represents our shared vision to accelerate Web3 adoption while enabling transparency and trust in the cloud ecosystem.”
Similarly, Lei Yang, Director of Huawei Cloud Singapore, also expressed his happiness about the collaboration. Lei Yang noted that this enables the company to gain access to a large network of Web3 developers through Cardano.
